Frequently Asked Questions
How will peanut/tree nut allergies be handled?
We understand that peanut allergies can be very serious and even life-threatening. We will
have a peanut-free eating area during lunch. In addition, all of our staff is First Aid/CPR certified
and will be trained in EpiPen use. Please make sure to note any peanut allergies (or other food
allergies) during the registration process.
My child wants to be in the same group as his/her friend during camp. Can you accommodate this
request?
Yes, we are happy to group friends together. Please note this in the Questions/Concerns box
during the registration process.
I would prefer photos or video of my child not be used in marketing materials. Can I opt out of
the photo release?
We understand the privacy concerns that come with photography. Names will never be used
in any marketing materials. If you would like to opt out of the photo release, please note that
during the registration process in the Questions/Concerns box.
Will hitting be covered in the football camp?
Since the camp is non-contact and without pads, hitting will not be taught for safety reasons.
Has the staff gone through finger-printing and background checks?
Camper Safety is a high priority at Spartans Sports Camp. Therefore, per MVLA District Policy
all adult staff will have gone through finger-printing and background checks. Student staff
consists entirely of current MVHS students and per District Policy they are exempt from the
finger-printing and background checks. However, Spartans Sports Camp only hires students of
exemplary character that go through a rigorous application and training process.
I live within walking distance of Mtn. View HS. Can my child check himself out of camp?
Yes, no problem. Please note this during the registration process (Questions/Concerns Box).
We will call you when the child leaves the camp so you know when to expect him or her home.
Spartans Sports Camp is not liable for your child when he or she is walking to or from camp.
