Camp Description
 
Frank puts an instructional emphasis on fundamentals of grip, stance, racket preparation, contact point and follow through. In addition, physical training of the body from footwork and center of gravity, rotation of hips and shoulders, ankles and knees, elbows and wrists is encouraged so to become aware of the kinetic chain and the flow of energy from the ground through the body to the contact point of racket and ball.

The Details
 
This camp will run in one session: July 22-July 26, 2013 from 9:00am-3:00pm daily.

The cost of a 5-day session of this camp is $275. This camp is open to kids entering grades 6 through 9 in August 2013. Each camper will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and drawstring backpack. Lunch is available for an additional fee (click here for details). Extended care is also available for an additional fee (click here for details).

Frank Smyth
 
Frank Smyth has coached the MVHS varsity boys & girls tennis teams for 11 years. He is a certified professional instructor (PTR) for 10 years, from 2001-2011, and he has been the tennis instructor at Cuesta Park in Mountain View for 12 years, from 1997-2009. In 2001, Coach Frank Smyth took on the task of coaching the Mountain View Junior team at Cuesta Park, and he has been doing this for 10 years and counting.
