Alex Yerena

Alex began coaching for gold star Hip Hop program in the summer of 2015 – a high energy, exceptionally animated, extremely positive addition to our award winning dance program. Alex is an incredibly industrious young man – not only working for the City of Mountain View as a Recreational Leader in their camps, he also dances and choreographs for both Gold Star and his high school dance team. He is CPR and First Aid certified and plans to one day be a pediatrician. With his easy-going manner with children, his endless supply of energy, his stalwart work ethic, and professionalism, we have no doubt he will be successful in whatever he pursues – we are just pleased that right now he has chosen Gold Star.

Aria Rahimi

Aria began coaching at Gold Star in the winter of 2016, and has been a member of our Open Hip Hop Team since 2015. His team qualified for the US Trials and placed third, then performed at Worlds and won ninth, competing against teams from all over the globe. Aria taught dance when he was still in high school and is currently working with the afterschool program at the City of Mountain View while taking classes at Foothill College. Aria’s humor draws the children to him, his talent in dance keeps them engaged, and his patience helps them to perfect their craft.
