Boys Soccer Summer Camp - Register Now
You will learn about both technical and tactical aspects of the game of soccer.
The technical aspect of the camp will include: passing, receiving, dribbling, moves, bringing balls
down out of the air, shooting, and much more. The tactical aspect of the camp will include:
movement off the ball, combination play, understanding of the game, reading defenders, formations,
set plays and more. Each day the technical and tactical aspects of the game will be combined into
scrimmage like activities. You will get to learn from the MVHS varsity players, one of the best
high school teams in the Bay Area.
This camp will run in one session: June 12-June 16, 2017 from 9:00am-3:00pm daily.|
The cost of a 5-day session of this camp is $375. This camp is open to kids entering grades 6
through 9 in August 2017. Each camper will receive a soccer ball, t-shirt, water bottle, and drawstring backpack. Lunch is available for an additional fee (click here for details). Extended care is also available for an additional fee (click here for details).

Al has played soccer from 1975 - 1978 with Sunnyvale United, under the direction of Mike Salveimini.
Afterwhich, he played for Haduk International in San Jose from 1978 - 1980 under the direction of Joe Zigzag. In 1980, Al
joined the U.S. Marines Corps where he played for the Commanding Generals 1st Marine Division West Coast team from 1981- 1983.
From 1984 - 1989, Al played for the 3rd Marine Airwing Team.
Al's soccer experience has taken him to Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Panama and several different states across the U.S.
In 1990, Al began his coaching career as Head Coach for the 16th Marine Airwing Team through his retirement in 2000.
Al has coached at Mission Viejo High and El Toro High Schools in Orange County from 1999 - 2005; at which time he relocated to the Bay Area.
Al has been the Assitant Boys Varsity Coach at Mtn View High school from 2010 to the present. As well as participated
in the AYSO Sunnyvale program as Head Coach for a number of years.
Coaching a range of age groups, male teams and female teams has made Al a uniquely diverse coach with a
broad understanding of the needs of the participants.
