Note: Campers must be strong swimmers in order to participate in the camp. No water polo experience is necessary.
At the camp you will learn the necessary fundamentals of water polo along with proper body-
positioning, shooting, passing, blocking and breakaway techniques. Our approach is to teach basics then
continue education through different water polo games. This approach will demonstrate concepts of
playing as a team as well as teaching the essentials of water polo. We will review rules and techniques
as well as learning many new practical water games. Every one of all levels and ability are welcome to
come and learn about one of the oldest Olympic sports…and have a great time doing it in our brand new
The boys water polo team at MVHS went undefeated in league in 2012 and made it to the semi-final in Division
1 CCS. Also, in 2013 the Spartans finished 3rd in league and made it to CCS quarter finals (beating out
top ranked teams).
This camp will run in one session: June 12-June 16, 2017 from 9:00am-3:00pm daily.|
The cost of a 5-day session of this camp is $375. This camp is open to kids entering grades 6
through 9 in August 2017. Each camper will receive a t-shirt, water bottle, and drawstring backpack. Lunch is available for an additional fee (click here for details). Extended care is also available for an additional fee (click here for details).
